Deposit

For a reservation to become binding, a deposit is to be effected. Your booking will only become valid upon receipt of the deposit. You will receive a reservation confirmation from us upon receipt of the deposit.

Advance payment counts towards your final bill. The amount will depend upon the duration of stay and reservation type. Upon payment of your deposit, you are accepting our reservation conditions.

Cancellation terms & Cancellation

Any cancellation is to be received by us in writing 4 weeks before the reserved arrival day at the latest. In the event of timely cancellation, the deposit, minus a processing fee of € 30.00, will be reimbursed.

For this purpose, please let us know your IBAN code.

Cancellation effected within 4 weeks prior to the reserved arrival day will result in forfeit of the deposit.

We recommend you take out cancellation cover (travel insurance).

Delayed arrival or premature departure

In the event of delays to arrival or early departure (e.g. illness, bad weather etc.) 50 % of the cost of days not enjoyed here will be charged.

Should you not have paid a deposit on account of a last-minute reservation, and depart early, 50% of the cost of the days you have not used will be offset.

Likewise, pitches that have been cleared ahead of time or not moved into will be reallocated.

Pitch requests

Pitch requests will be considered as far as is possible, however we reserve the right to reserve an equivalent pitch.

Arrival and departure

Your booked pitch will be available for you from 12:00 on the day you are due to arrive and up until 11:00 on the day you are due to depart.
Check-in times: 12:00 to 20:00

If for any reason arrival will be later than 8.00 p.m., you are obliged to contact us. If no notification is made, the pitch will be kept only until 11:00 noon the following day and then resold.

Cancellation terms & Cancellation

Any cancellation must be effected in writing and at the latest, much reach us 8 weeks before the day you are due to arrive. In the event of timely cancellation, the deposit, minus a processing fee of € 30.00, will be reimbursed.

The following cancellation costs will be charged in the event of later cancellation.

  • Within 8 weeks of the arrival date:
    50 % of the amount of the final bill
  • From 5 weeks before you are due to arrive:
    60 % of the amount of the final bill
  • From 4 weeks before you are due to arrive:
    80 % of the amount of the final bill
  • Within 2 weeks of going on holiday and late arrival or early departure:
    100 % of the amount of the final bill

We recommend you take out cancellation cover (travel insurance).

Holiday lodges are available from 13:00 on the day you are due to arrive and up until 10:00 on the day you are due to depart.
Check-in times: 13:00 to 20:00

Should your arrival time be significantly delayed, please let us know. If we do not receive any notification, the leased area will only be held until 10.00 the next day and will then be re-allocated without compensation.

FAQ – all the information about your camping holiday in the Salzkammergut

We are happy to answer your queries and provide bespoke advice. We have compiled answers for some frequently asked questions:

When do I have to vacate my pitch on the day I am due to depart?

Your pitch must be cleared by 11:00 on the day you are due to depart, otherwise you will be billed for another night.

Is it possible to leave the site in the afternoon or evening of the day I am due to depart?

‘Late check-out’ is available on request during early and late season, for a fee. During peak season (July and August) this is unfortunately not available.

When are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in on the day you are due to arrive from 12:00 to 20:00. Check-out on the day you are due to depart until 11:00

What do I do if I will be arriving later (arrival after 20:00)?

You can arrive at the site up until 22:00 (when you let us know in advance). After that, our barrier is closed and you will have to park at the car park.

When is entry and exit possible (barrier opening hours)?

The barrier is open from 06:00 to 22:00, after that there is no entry to the site area.

Is barbecuing permitted in the campsite?

Charcoal and gas barbecues are permitted, but neither open fires or fire pits are permitted.

How many dogs are permitted?

Dogs are very welcome here with us! 2 dogs are permitted per pitch.

Can I take my dog for a walk at the campsite?

You can use our path in Robinson valley (approx. 0.9 km). There is a free run area for dogs and dog stations there.

Can dogs swim at the campsite?

Your dog can swim in our pond area or in Robinson valley.

Is it possible to swim with dogs in the lakes in the surrounding area?

At Mondsee the accessible lake entrances between the towns of Plomberg and Scharfling can be used. Essentially dogs are not permitted in any public swimming areas.

Is it possible to swim in the pond at the campsite?

No, our pond is a fishing pond and is not suitable for swimming (except for dogs).

Is it possible to fish in the pond at the campsite?

You can fish in our pond at the campsite. Suitable for children or beginners. Please bring your own rods.

Where is the closest shop?

Shopping options are available in the nearby Tiefgraben retail park (Hofer, Billa, DM etc.) around 3 km away. There is a kiosk right at the campsite for necessary day-to-day items.

Is public transport to Mondsee available?

For a fee there is a Postbus Shuttle, (call bus taxi). This taxi goes to Mondsee or the surrounding area of Mondseeland.

What options are available to get from the campsite to Salzburg?

From Mondsee, a bus runs to Salzburg, there is a train from Oberhofen am Irrsee. If you would like to drive your car or mobile home to Salzburg (approx. 30 minute drive) we recommend the Park & Ride parking area at ‘Salzburg Mitte’.

Is there a restaurant at the camp site?

Gasthaus Fohlenhof is next to Reception. Our landlords pamper you with wonderful home-made fare and culinary delicacies.

Where can I swim at the site?

Our heated pool is situated directly behind Reception and is open from 8:00 to 20:00

Is there any option available to do laundry?

Two washing machines and a dryer are available for our guests for a fee of € 4.00 per wash cycle.

Is there a kitchen?

You can of course use our small kitchen. A token is all that is required to cook. This is available at Reception for € 2.00. This provides enough time to cook a full meal.

Is there a refrigerator and freezer?

There is a refrigerator and freezer compartment in the recreation room directly adjacent to the kitchen which all our guests can use free of charge.

Is there a coffee machine?

Our coffee machine is located in the recreation room

Is it possible to buy breakfast pastries?

Every day from 08:00 fresh pastries are available at Reception, with no advance order necessary

Is there a recreation room?

The recreation room is available for every guest to use. The recreation room has a television, computer, refrigerator and freezer, a coffee machine, pool table along with various magazines and books.

Is there a table tennis table and foosball at the camp site?

The table tennis table and foosball table are beneath the pool terrace in the ‘Kids Club’

Are Internet and W-LAN available?

The computer in the recreation room can be used at any time and Internet access is free. If you would like to use WLAN on your own mobile device, this is available throughout the campsite. There is a usage fee of € 1.50 per night (for all the devices of one family). The password is available at Reception. This will be billed upon departure.

Are gas cylinders available at the site?

Gas is available in Reception. However only Primagaz and Euro bottles are exchanged. Otherwise there is a deposit of € 43.00 per bottle.

Is drinking water available at the campsite?

Our clear and pure water from our own mountain spring in the forest is drinking water standard and is safe to consume. The only exception is water at the well (close to the pond)

Does the electricity at the camp-site have to be activated?

No, electricity is available at every pitch (16 amp). A Euro plug (CCE plug) is required. Suitable plugs and extension cables are available at Reception for a deposit.

Can I use a camping carpet?

Since our pitches are almost solely grass pitches, we would ask you not to use any plastic tarpaulin. In just a few days these tarpaulin covers destroy the grass roots, with mud sludge then building up beneath the tarpaulins. Please only use air-permeable camping carpers, since these ensure the grass roots are preserved. You can hire a carpet from us upon payment of a deposit.

Is there a water and drainage connection available?

Most pitches have a water and drainage connection. However this is only available when you bring your own hose.

Can I pay via debit or credit card?

Credit card payment is available at Reception and in the inn. For small amounts (ice-cream, breakfast rolls…) we prefer cash.

What is in Robinson valley?

Your children can play to their heart’s content in Robinson valley. There is seating, a fire area (charcoal only) and a small stream. Our circular path (with dog stations) is also in Robinson valley, as is our fenced-in free run zone for dogs.

Where can I get information about attractions and leisure options available in the surrounding area?

Extensive information and more details about the area around our campsite is available on the tourist association website at mondsee.salzkammergut.at.
